Tim:Good day, everyone. Welcome to Powerful and Unpolished. I'm Tim Salmons. I'm your host. We are going to be doing a short and sweet little version today, for many of my friends and fans out there, if you will, if I have fans.
Tim:Last week, I launched my first full length book and it's titled Inner Wisdom, Outer Impact Leading Your Life from the Inside Out. And someone has suggested to me that in these podcasts, it might be good to just go through sections of the book, maybe not chapters, but, you know, 2 or 3 chapters, 4 chapters at a time, and just kind of touch base on, what this book is really, what how it came to me, what it's about. It's really it truly is about leading from the inside out. When I talk about inner wisdom, wisdom is a is a significant achievement in my awareness in this life, in this world. To me, wisdom isn't anything you take for granted.
Tim:To me, wisdom is is the ultimate connection between information, the intelligence processing, the emotional processing, and just being present with the environment around you, all of that comes together to equal wisdom. And that's one reason why the title of of my book is inner wisdom. We all have these different layers of understanding and awareness to tap into. Oftentimes, people don't even realize they're there, or if they do realize it, it's taken for granted. It's not thought of at the time.
Tim:And so when this person had suggested to me that, you know, why not, you know, do a little breakdown of the book and kinda go through, how how the book is structured because the book is structured into 3 different sections. So the first section, I call dimensions. And dimensions are everyday things that we deal with that are a part of our world. It's part of our our programming and conditioning. It's part of the awareness that we live in for ourselves, for our jobs, for our profession, for our clients, our customers.
Tim:There's such a layered experience of awareness. And in the human experience, we're going and we're doing and we're getting a lot of stuff done, hopefully, or we're not. But it does lead to something. Whether you're getting stuff done or not getting stuff done, it's still leading you somewhere. And it's having the awareness of what are these dimensions, how do we participate in them, and how do they participate in our lives, and do we have the ability, and I'll change that, we have the ability.
Tim:Do we have the awareness to tap into the ability to connect with that that is available to us? Quite often, if you listen to how people speak, they're talking a lot about doing, what they're gonna go do, what they're which is fine. You have intention. You can go create. But a lot of times, life is happening.
Tim:Situations are happening, which is a different mentality than how they are evolving. When life is happening to us, we're kind of in a victim state or a victim energy to it, and it can feel like that. It can feel like, you know, life is is taking its toll on you or, you know, taking out its frustrations on you or however your experience is. But the reality is life is life is it's happening, and we are participating with it as we go along. So when we go into, like, the first section of the book, the 3 dimensions and in in the next upcoming podcast, I'm going to go deeper into more specifics.
Tim:But just the concept of the dimensions is, you know, what are your habits? What are the stories that you tell? What are the stories you believe? How valid and legitimate are they? How new and fresh are they?
Tim:How old and stale are they? We have programming and conditioning in our lives. We're all programmed and conditioned. It's part of our socialization, if you will. So we have this programming and conditioning, and we're adapting, and we we build comfort zones, and we fly on autopilot and all this kind of stuff.
Tim:And having all of these influences in our daily world can often, if we're disconnected, can often make us feel like life is just beating us up. Like, we forget that we're a participant in this this formula. And that's why I wanted to kick off the book or kick off this podcast and really tell you about the book that is, it's out there. So the first section that we will be digging into in in the next show will be, dimensions and specific elements of those dimensions. And then some of the following podcasts will be in discovery.
Tim:Discovery is the section the second section of the book, and it's really about how can we hold ourselves? How can we hold our life? How can we hold our awareness so that we position ourselves to have a greater response or a greater interaction than our traditional or typical reaction. And then one of the following podcasts will be on the 3rd section, and the 3rd section is deliverance. And deliverance is really about when we break down and get really clear on who we are, what we know, and how much programming influences our lives, how much patterning runs our lives.
Tim:This section helps us to open up and break out and start to forge into being in process, to truly create from the experience, to truly be in creativity and understand what creativity is. Creativity is an opportunity that we have every day. I'm just like everyone else out there listening to this right now. I like my comfort zones. I I rely on my patterns.
Tim:I do the stuff that at times doesn't hold me in the highest regard. However, I also know the awareness to sit there and say, okay. Let's go to the mirror. Let's start doing some real work. Let's start really, you know, taking care of what I need to take care of so I can get where I wanna go.
Tim:Not and and when I get there, it's not only, look, I've achieved this goal. That's the other thing is a lot of times this whole process, this book is really designed about getting people more anchored in who they are, their authenticness, their essence, their purpose. And in that, to be able to achieve authenticity really brings you, me, anybody closer to a sense of peace or closer to a sense of fulfillment, closer to a sense of valued purpose. A big part of the programming that we run into in this world is set your smart goals, go out there and get them done. You'll achieve this.
Tim:Smart goals aren't bad. Getting things done isn't bad. However, a lot of people achieve their goals or achieve their accomplishments, and then there is a sense of unfulfillment. There's a sense of, is that it? It disconnect, the letdown.
Tim:What do I do next? And so this is really about honoring those who are open to the practice, open to the process, and really willing to ask the hard questions and play with whatever becomes available and realize it's all a gift. Sometimes, even the frustration stuff is is you know, may not seem like a gift at the time, but but in a lot of occasions, it's the feedback that the universe was bringing to us right at that time at that moment. And it's not easy to take. It's not an easy pill to swallow.
Tim:I'm not telling you to fake it and but what I'm saying is you're a heck of a lot stronger when you actually have intention and choice in the matter, and you own that responsibility for that choice. You hold on to that accountability, that integrity. When you do that for yourself, no one else can take that away from you. And so that's what we're gonna be digging into in this book. Again, it's Inner Wisdom, Outer Impact Leading Your Life from the Inside Out.
Tim:You can actually get a hard copy. You can get a paperback. You can get the, Kindle version on Amazon. So go to Amazon Books and look up Inner Wisdom Outer Impact Leading Your Life from the Inside Out. So until then, until next week, we're gonna start digging into the first 3 or 4 chapters.
Tim:I will leave you with this question. Are you as fulfilled as you think you could be? And is there an area where you feel disconnected and you're aware of it? If so, why is it still persistent? So two thoughts to think about.
Tim:I wish you all the best and, we will be talking to you again next week. So until then, if if you find this useful or anything, please, hit the like button. Give us a review. Tim:So that might be something you wanna not only gear up for yourself, but maybe friends or or family that you might find that might find this useful. So, until then, I wish you all the best. Have a great week. We will see you soon. Take care.
